Carluccio’s – Market Place

Date night at Carluccio’s Market Place, London, with my @Julie_wolie. Carluccio’s is an Italian chain restaurant and I think it’s one of the few places you can enjoy a wonderful starter, main course and dessert. My favourite Chinese restaurant has some amazing seafood, fresh and delicious but when that’s finished… there are no decent desserts. As you can see from this blog, dessert is very important.

My favourite main dish at Carluccio’s is the Linguine Al Frutti Di Mare (Linguine with seafood). Can you see those heavenly rings? The Calamari Queen has returned! Carluccio’s also have an amazing starter called Calamari Fritti which is some of the best calamari I’ve had.

As I said, dessert is very important. I’d never had this before but it was absolutely delicious. Each bite and chew was just a little bit more naughty than the last. The menu states ‘served with vanilla ice cream’ however as you can see, ours were not. It would have been much better with vanilla ice cream as the chocolate of the fondant with the ice cream was overwhelmingly rich.

Cioccolato Fondente

If chocolate fondant isn’t your thing then fear not, Carluccio’s have a variety of desserts on their dessert menu and their deli available to order to your table or take away.
